Ty Ahmad-Taylor
 Vice President, Business Product Marketing Meta
 

As vice president of Meta’s Business Product Marketing team, Ty leads the company’s monetization strategy and global go-to-market efforts for products that connect people and businesses on the platform.

Prior to Meta, Ty served as CEO of THX Ltd., a global media and entertainment company that provides high-end audio-video experiences in cinemas, the Consumer Electronics industry, in-home and large outdoor venues.

Before THX, Ty served as vice president of product at Samsung Electronics America, following the company’s acquisition of FanFeedr, a real-time personalized media aggregation service, which Ty founded in 2008.

Ty brings to Meta 30 years of information design, 20+ years of both consumer-facing software and product development leadership, as well as interactive television services development experience. He has a diverse portfolio of technology and hardware patents and has worked at several startups and large media and consumer electronic companies, including Viacom, Comcast, and The New York Times.

In 2014, Fast Company named Ty among their “100 Most Creative People in Business.” As a journalist and graphics editor with The New York Times, he won several excellence awards from the Society of Newspaper Design, including one for a portfolio of infographics.

Most recently, Ty joined the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art Board of Trustees (2020) and has served on GoPro’s Board of Directors since 2018. He also sits on the Board of Industry Leaders for the Consumer Technology Association, where he helps set public policy positions and priorities for association activities.

Ty previously served as a board member of the not-for-profit Urbanworld Film Festival, a committee member for media events with the Council for Urban Professionals, led marketing advocacy for the New York Digital District, and was a board member of the not-for-profit All for Good. Among his personal creative projects, he took a one-year culinary course in London while on sabbatical.

Ty prides himself on transparency and operational efficiency, developing a diverse and thriving team, and relentlessly putting customers at the center of his work. He joined Facebook in 2017 and is based out of its Menlo Park headquarters. Ty holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics from Haverford College, a Master of Science in Journalism from Columbia University, and is a very proud father of two.
